I recently took my instrument cluster out to detail it a bit and after I put it back in it flutters a lot and seems to be reading about double speed. Anyone have any idea what I screwed up?

Well, that pretty much sums it up. I'm trying to pull all the fake wood grain trim on the dash to paint it and possibly make a new gauge panel. I cant seem to get the gauge cluster to come out from the dash frame. Any tips before I break something? Thanks in advance

I was at a local cruise in tonight and someone asked me why I had a 70 model instrument panel in my 71 dart. I told him I didnt know there was a difference and was surprised to hear that. I figured I would ask yall for some clarification. Mike
