Looking for the size and length of bolt that go up through the crossmember into the tail housing of the 904 transmission?

I have a sure grip out of a 741 that I rebuilt and swaped my 489 gears onto. When I try to install the carrier, it would not fit. It look like the bearing are the wrong size? Do the different housing (741,742, 489) take different carrier bearing, or do I something else wrong?

Is there any problems with swapping a clutch sure grip out of a 741 case and installing it into a 489?

What converter are you using? Mine came apart and filled the trans. I got the trans fixed and in need of a good converter, I am leaning towards a PTC 3600 stall for $435. I like the price, but some people have had problems with their 9.5 " convertors. What do you think and what are you using?

I just put in a complete rear pig and found it to have the large yoke, but my drive shaft has the the small yoke. I could pull the small one off the old rearend and put it in, but I just got this rearend set up. I there a u joint that allows you to mate a small with a large yoke together?
