We purchase a 1971 Dodge Demon 4 speed car that had a early 727 auto swapped in (only neutral safety switch not the later 3 pin switch). We need to figure out how to hook up the backup lights. It have a B&M shifter. Any ideas where to start? Would we have to put a switch to the shifter in this case?

What kind of shift linkage are you using on the automatic? Is there a neutral switch on the trans? Pictures?

Here is what it looks like which is as described an early model 727 neutral switch.

Sounds like Oldmanmopar May have the solution but sounds expensive just to gain backup lamps.

What about a B&M switch (see pick)? $15

Exterior shot for fun! Welcome to Spring!

Since it's not stock anyway, I'd just add a toggle switch on the dash for the backup lights. Flick it on when needed.
