I just sold a 418" stroker w/Eddy magnum head engine. I'm looking at doing another build and came across a 70' block, tanked, decked, bored and honed w/plates, .040" over. TRW 2316 pistons, bushed rods and a steel crank,however... it is cut -.040"/.040". Just wondering if it would loose a little strength, but i'm sure it's still stronger than a std.cast crank. This will be a fairly stock build with a Lunati 403 cam. I can get this assembly for a steal,so i'm asking your advise. Do you think this crank is safe up to around 375-400 hp? The only upgrade may be the scat I beam like i had in the 418" and a full balance.

people cut a small block mopar which is 2.125 rod size down to a small block chevy 2.00 rod journal size..

bearing are available for a .060 undersize crank

.........u may lose some stregnth, but the reduction in bearing speed is way more benificial.....................kim.........
