" 1 inch from radiator rule" ?

ok so i got the 440 in my duster, and have my aluminum radiator. When i put a mopar clutch fan over the pulley there is about 3/8 to 1/2 of an inch of clearence between the radiator and the fan blades. would this be acceptable?

p.s. i will be running a shroud.

I have heard that before but you should be okay with the shroud...your fan blades should stick out of the back of the shroud some
