More cut and paste, unconfirmed, what, is this your opinion? Since there WERE NO 426 hemis in 62--63, it would seem you have left some stuff out........................

Maybe someday you'll find something else to do other than pick these threads apart.. Like was suggested on the last one you comment on "don't like it? Move on!" Like many others have said b4, I LOVE THESE THREADS!!

I agree, some of us like this info. If YOU don't, ignore it and stop the bickering. Please.

What? The '60 Chrysler 300F with the loooong cross-ram 413 has got to be on that list? Okay, maybe not, but that loooong cross-ram 413 sure did look like it was fast!

you put yourself on the radar several times now, calling someone a name such as dork will end up in a moderator tossing you out into cyberspace with no further warning
There were 'no 426 Race Hemi's in 1962 or 1963 'Dork'

I'm not done........

I'm sure the 'World of Idaho' is impressed with your 273.......

Here's the thing.........

"Nobody" knows where the OP seems to get his so called information

he doesn't even know that I'm not a Dork nor does he know that I do not have a 273 powered vehicle, NOR am I trying to impress the world.

He CERTAINLY does not seem to know that the 62--63 would not involve 426 hemis.

Otherwise, it's just talk.

So if you are gonna "START" these, start with a SOURCE. Go find an old road test. Go find where someone that WAS someone actually ran these and quote THAT. Or find some old NHRA etc records.

And last, I don't need you to advise me, OK?

69, could you please ignore Idaho so you don't get tossed. I enjoy these threads, but hate the name calling. There is nothing you can do or say to please everyone. Please continue but leave the name calling at moparts.

Nice article 68er,

The 1963 426/415 HP cars were about 3/10's slower than the 426/425 HP cars,
but definitely more streetable.

To the guy that keeps bashing these posts , please post some of your own , you seem to be very knowing when it comes to Mopars and all of us Dorks would love to be become non Dorks and help from someone with your knowledge can get us to non dork status ... Just a little FYI , no one really cares what you have to say and to the poster of this post thank you , it was enjoyable reading

Bud Faubel 'The Hemi Honker'

1964 Dodge #330 - 426 Race Hemi

Set the S/SA National Record - May 1964 ...... 11.53 @ 123.79 MPH

This was an Aluminum-nose car with the 'rare' Aluminum front bumper.

I believe Bud took ownership in late-March 1964.

I know these were numbers gathered somewhere. But where the heck are the 340's.. My 68 340 4spd. GTS would chew up my buddies. yellow 69 440 GTS when ever we would street race in the 70's. We were dead even on the hole shot and I would pull on him like he left with the hand brake on.

Also I had a 69 440 Six pack R/T. Yes I said R/T that they never made. I would run that original give away 69 Hemi R/T clone from Carlilse. In 1971 I pulled a car and 1/2 on him every time until he added headers and gears. So this said, these numbers were close but not accurate. Although I do like looking at the list it takes me back to the days of Street racing for money. I had all makes and models of cars. The cars in our town that were Fast and made impressions when the rolled in were a 68 hemi R/T. 69 427 Nova. and a 1970 429 Torino. Yes there were others even a 62 426 ramcharger available in late 62 in polaras only. You could get the 63 426 but it had to come special ordered in a polara in 62. Not the dart.

and sence you know so much do you know how to tell a factory light wt,with a hemi????at say 500 ft. to 1/4 mil.!!!!!!,,??????????????

Old Man Mopar,

I haven't completed the list yet.

And I can't list every 'Special Order Car'.

The Factory 'non-Super Stock' Cars with 4.10 Gears and 8.00 {7.70" Wide} Slicks
is a little more difficult to align.

Many of these cars ran similar times.

1964 Factory Lightweight {on the visual}.

* Single Headlight Front Grille Assembly
* '4' Hood Pin Posts and Hood Pins

I didn't know this would be a 'test'.
