I always keep an eye open for a 14" Direct Connection air filter lid(specifically with the stamped logo, not the sticker). I only ever see the 10" or the little ones for dual quad set ups. Am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

I haven't seen the 14 in. But I haven't look for one. And of course that's just one mans experience.

I thot the mopar perf. air filters were all advertised as 12 air cleaners. I don`t think they offered a 14", I`d have one on my car if I could find one , " w/o being raped on it !"

I like that one better than my plain chrome one, which I had to dish in. I was referring to the cast alum. perf. cleaner lids . Still show the pics tho !!

I don't know about mopar performance on our old cars? That didn't come out till the mid-to-late 80s. Knowing that I always find it odd to see Mopar performance stuff on old cars.

they made a 14" one.. don't see them around much at all any more... even had the little pentastar wingnut..
i has the valve covers and air cleaner back in the day.. hard to make out int he pics but thats it..

I got the dual quad filters from a member and I do believe those little pentastar caps are the prize possessions. You can see I put a little air filters on top of a little bit bigger ones. Those were new in the box. The boxes were pretty bad though.
Valve covers I got a couple years ago brand new in the box. They'd been sitting in that box for over 30 years.

yea they are.. the big air cleaner set up have a large pentastar. they were so cool back then.. i liked the direct connection logo so much better then the lame mopar performance crap..

Yes it's a rough road. You got to be ready and you got to be looking That you also got to be cautious because people are trying to grab people who get Starry Eyed to quit. Good luck keep your eyes open and for god sakes have your money ready and don't him and ha too much put it out there and buy that s*** or you won't have it .I know it's expensive sometimes, but it's either that or nada.
