Hey guys,
I am getting American racing outlaw I rims, the smallest width they come in is 7". You can get 14" by 7 which has 4" backspace. Or a 15" by 7 that has a 3.76 backspace.
I was planning on getting 205/70r15 or 205/70r14.
Some people seem to think 7" may be to wide on my 74 duster.
Thoughts on what one I should try?
I have currently a 14" rallye rim with a 205/70r14. Not sure of width or backspaceing. I'll be taking the rim off later today and checking.
Thanks
Richard

i would go with the 15s, it doubles your tire choice to "some"
i run 15X7s up front, 15X8s in the back

mastercraft 205/65-15
i wasnt sure it would fit, so i went with an entry level tire but it all clears fine on a 15X7 rim with 3.75 BS

thatson a 72 duster by the way

I have no problem with 14 x 7.5 on my 68 Barracuda at 3.75bs. I run a 235/60-14..... 25 tall,

IIRC the factory 14" SBP Rallys were 5.5 and zero offset so the bs would be 3.25

Your 205/75-14 would be about 25.3 tall, and the 15 incher adds an inch, lol.

If you have KH 4-piston brakes, they don't fit inside ALL aluminum mags, so be careful if you have those.
