I have never in my life seen a 275 60 14. The largest I was aware that was ever made was 245 60 14, which you can still buy.

No doubt. I have 14" in Rallye wheels. With the strain on 14" decent tire availability, they might as wells be wooden wheels. 14s are caveman era to tire companies for some reason.

It might be because rolling 14" rims with huge sidewalls sucks for anything but straight line and drag racer's got that covered. In my opinion.

That's why i hated my 14s. They made the car feel tippy and clumsy

I had n50 14s on 14x10 slots years ago.But youre right I dont remember metric fat sizes.

It gets worse or it's been bad for a while now
try to find decent 13 inch tires.
I dont think you'll get a premium brand to run short lots of odd sizes.
Good luck though.

The rear tires in this pic were BFG Bias Ply 275/60-14 (not L60-14)...they actually said "275/60-14" on them (circa 1991).

These on the other hand are L60-14, which equates to the same as 275/60-14:

Lastly, these were M/T Competitor Series in 295/50-14 -- also Bias, but had the metric designator on them. I think I may even still have one in the backyard I could take a closer pic of:

So, in the end -- yes, I am screwed if i need to find new back tires. My rims are widened to 9.5", so there's no going with anything less than a L60 or 275/60.

It is getting hard to find good 14inch tires. That's why on my current build I went with atleast 15inch.

I should have clarified......I was speaking stricly about radials. I knew bias plys came big in 14". But I don't think until fairly recently (last 10 years or so) that radials were available that large in 14". I could be wrong.....it's happened before. lol

Yep -- that's true -- the biggest 14" radial I have ever seen was a 265/50 by BFG (Radial T/A) -- I had a pair I thought I was going to use on my Demon, but they turned out to be too short for my liking. Turned around and sold them without ever even mounting them.

I called hank"s NO 265 50 14 TIRES they said call coker that's were they get them

16" is what I have for the Valiant, 5 of the Lincoln LSC 'turbine' rims. Still rides nice, great selection of tires, not too expensive, and doesn't look like a black rubber band stretched over a rim

14" are going the way of the dinosaur- heck, the only things that have them are the cheapest Hyundai-type rigs
