Will 18x7 or 17x7 Streeter wheels with 4.25 back spacing fit on the rear of a stock 65 barracuda. I don't think there will be an issue with the springs but wondering about the outer side. Was thinking of going with 225/45-18 tires. Thanks for any advice or experience.

I am running a 17 x 7.5" on my 65 barracuda with 5" of back space and a 235/45-17 and everything clears, but I did swap in a 73 8.25 rear. I don't know if that matters. I think that I could go to a 245 no problem.

what rearend do u have? i have an 8 3/4 out of a 68 barracuda w/streeters (17x7), they fit nice..........chk it out....

i believe a stock 65 is a little longer than the 8 3/4, about an inch on each side. my car is lowered 2 inches, and i can put my fingers up inbetween the tire and the outer wheel well when its on the ground, since your car is at a higher stance, i would think that they would fit, however, you need to do some careful measuring to be sure.......hopefully someone will chime in on this.............
