my hotrod friends call me Tennessee Ken, I am Simi retired and have built hot rods most of my life as a passion, not for a living.
I have a customer who asked me to upgrade his Grandmothers 53 new Yorker to a modern. We upgraded the brakes, add independent front suspension, 12 volt, A/c we choose a 5.7 out of a 2013 charger and a 545rfe transmission. I bought a stand alone system from swap spealities In October 2019. I received it late March and it hasn't worked. I have gave up hope on them helping me ,so I have replaced most of the sensors bought new pedals throttle body and paid Mopar tech for wiring diagrams.
The engine on the PC shows everything seems normal.
Won't crank. I pulled the number 1 plugs out and grounded them to see if it was firing. The motor turned about 2 times and cranked it will set and run and start smoothing out. Put the plugs in and it will not start . We thought it may be the crank sensors so we replaced them.
I need help, I have spent tons of free hours and now I'm coming to the end of my rope.
Is there someone maybe a Mopar God that can give me some guidance, I'm not slamming swap spealities, the Rona has us all messed up. who can make me a harness or who maybe send me in the right direction.
    Thanks Ken

Hotwire in Mena Arkansas specializes in the Hemi wiring stuff. There is a guy over on Jalopy Journal with a 53 Desoto wagon that he did the new Hemi swap, lot of information there.

Welcome Ken. Sadly you are not the only one to have problems with swap specialties. If you search for swap specialties in the new Hemi forum you will come up with several threads on issues. This one may lead you in th right direction though. Keep us updated on your progress

      Welcome to the camp.
I don't know anything about Swap Secialties. Don't they have any customer support? Seems they owe you some answers.
As already mentioned, Hotwire has been making these Hemis work for over 10 years.
You might consider changing to the Holley Sniper stand alone system.
You should post a separate thread here on FABO in the new Hemi Swap section.
There is a Facebook G3 Hemi group with a lot of smart people. Same thing, post your symptoms and they'll help you.

No offense, but I've been reading stories like this for 10 years. I went with the Chrysler wiring kit becsuse it's just about plug and play and I don't want to go through this. It works on passenger car engines 2013 and newer. You can buy the components separately too. (Unlocked ECU, wire looms, etc.) It does not support transmission control though. There is a guy in the Facebook group that has standalone transmission controls figured out. I think he goes by New German Engineering.
      Good luck.

Thanks for your help, this is a strange swap. I have paid for 3 PCMs 3 pedals and throttle bodies.
I bought the mopar thumb drive with wiring and pinouts ,we found 1and 5 on the throttle body crossed and one wire from the pedal did not have continuity to c2 .now this is where it gets crazy,
We took out the plugs out of number 1 to see if it's firing, the engine made maybe 2 turns and cranked and set there idling it ran as long as we wanted but we could not give throttle.
We put the plugs back and it will not run pull out and it runs.
After studying the only thing we came up with is maybe the crank sensor is bad or maybe the battery is weak and not spinning the motor fast enough. We replaced the crank sensor and made sure the battery was hot and put jumpers to another hot battery, would not run.
Pulled the plugs and it sat and idled .
My friends in California said it will not start if The pedal is not programed. Can you direct me to the right guys that that can maybe lay hands on it and heal it or maybe an exercist
      Thank you Ken IMG_20200214_093640.jpg

This may seem like a dumb question but, when it's idling and the plugs are pulled, are you just letting compression blow out and run on 7 cylinders? And is it an OE or = throttle body?
I don't think your crank sensor is bad if you are able to make it run at will. Something to consider is fuel pressure, the factory injectors require around 58 psi to operate. Most in line electric pumps don't get over 12 psi.

Sorry I just noticed this was in the Welcome wagon...So welcome, and I will repaste this when the conversation get to the appropriate section.

I checked the fuel pressure and it was between 55and 60 .I know I missed something stupid but I haven't been able to find it
