1956 Dodge rear end housing & 2 third members. NOTHING ELSE. See pictures for numbers. One gear is 3.54 and one is 4.77
Not sure what's the name of this, A early 8.75?
Does have grease zirks in collars, both sides

If it's actually a '56 rear axle housing, it's not an 8 3/4....at least not like the later ones we're familiar with. The side gear in the 3rd member will have 16 splines instead of 30 splines like the later 3rd members. The housing is '55-6 Dodge and Plymouth only. Your housing has 11 studs for the 3rd member. A '57 and newer 8 3/4 3rd member has 10 studs.

Thank you for the info. If I remember the axles had a nut out by the lug nuts, similar to a front spindle. Maybe but I may be sadly mistaken. Lol
 
Yeah, all the early cars (through '64) had the tapered axle shafts with a keyway and castleated nut holding the hub and drum assembly.
 
I think it depended on whether it was a 6cyl version or 8cyl. I believe most of them were an 8 1/4. Some had 30 spline axles and some had 16 spline. They were all 11 stud versions though, so, they don't interchange with the later 10 stud 8 3/4 type.
