Chrysler whipped the cometitions *** in 57 with the "Christine" bodystyle.
Outsold 57 Chevy somehing like 3:1.
Just look at the cars and you can easily see the Mopar design is a generation ahead!

The bowtie was the last restyle on a three year platform that started in 55.
IMO, it was the Mopar induced whoopin' that cause GM to rush the one year only 58 body.

That's the best video anyone's posted in a long time! Cool to watch how bad the Chryslers and Imperial whooped all the others in every test. Listening to all the scripted metaphors was a hoot...."more bumps and grinds than a honky-tonk chorus girl..." "corners as flat as a bookkepper's chest" lol. The background music was funny as well, "The Old Grey Mare She Ain't What She Used To Be" playing after the Buick busted it's air springs. I'll be watching these again. More please.

Now this just goes to show you old Mopars did know how to stop..And they handles pretty dam good.

Just think that was with 50 year old technology and low compressions, a little newer add ons and wow.

I kick myself for not just getting a 50's car years ago and updating it to be a very nice driver
