1961 Dart Hemi

Did you know that the factory produced a Dart in 1961 with a HEMI between the front wheels?

Complete with cross ram intake, and two carbs?

Well, they did.

Here it is in the engine bay.

A tight fit, but it all goes under the hood.

The styling sure looks like the Valiant toads:

It even sounds like a big bad HEMI:

It was only 2.5L, but it still made 140 BHP.


They eventually changed the name of the car, because of the confusion with the american economy car of the same name.
