Hello I'm in search of the driver side rear view mirror for a 1964 Plymouth Valiant two door with a joy stick on the inside of the door so I'm assuming that's how the mirror is controlled. Also arm rests for both sides I'm currently restoring the panels but no armrests anywhere in the stuff the car came with thanks

Pm me if you can use any of ths. I believe I have some rear bases & ashtrays to go with these pads.

I have some arm rest bases and pads for a 2dr. Probably some ash trays for the rear also. The mirror you want is the '66 and earlier version. It has a removeable and bigger control head than the '67 and later ones.

Ok thanks, regarding the driver side mirror (sorry for not knowing the terminology) but the driver side door has two small screw holes and a hole approximately half inch in the middle and you mentioned a "removable and bigger control head" does that mean you take the cables and control head apart to install everything. Because looking at pictures I'm looking at of the head or joystick there's no way its fitting in that 1/2 hole in the door and I don't really want to make a larger hole because the base may not cover it. Thanks

And yes I'm looking for the driver and passenger side armrests and bases. Since you mentioned it I just looked and I also do need ashtrays for the rear armrests thanks for asking. How much are you asking for those items and shipping to 91775.
Thanks

2 or 4 door? Front armrests are longer on 2 door models
So are the mirror cables (long for 2-door w/mirror placed ahead of leading edge of vent wing; short for 4-door w/mirror placed behind trailing edge of vent wing).

Properly, the mirror you're after is one-year-only. The shape of the housing changed a bit for '65, and then again a bit for '66, and then stayed the same til the last A-body in '76. But the differences are minor; from six feet away they all look alike, so your interchange on that mirror is '64-'76 A-body.

Hi Dan, thanks for your information. These cars seem to be very unique now and finding certain items can be challenging. But just so I'm clear with what you mentioned, I have a 1964 Plymouth Valiant signet 2 door so the cable will be longer for the driver side mirror and I can use a replacement mirror from a Plymouth from 1964 thru 1976 as long as it's an A body.

You need a 1964-66 remote mirror. The holes are smaller because they only needed to accommodate the cables which were manually attached to the mirror. 1967 and later mirrors were one piece and the holes were larger to accommodate the adjustment piece. I think I have a earlier one. I'll get pictures tomorrow.

You could use a 1967 and later mirrors but you'd have to enlarge the holes.

The '67-up remote control mirror has a smaller control head that doesn't come apart from the cables easily. The later control doesn't fit the early hole in the inner door skin. It's control won't fit through the outer door skin either.
