Is there any way to adapt a floor shifter kit to the early A push button 904 transmissions?

Since they are both cable operated one would think it could work,,,
But I sure wouldn't want to take that job on, and I can make most anything work.
The factory cable won't connect up to the shifter, and the shifter cable is completely different than the trans cable.
Then there's the geometry question on top of it all.

use a 1965 set-up & it might work-- 65 has some valve body differences. Lawrence

I sent you a pm Trailbeast. And thanks for the info.

Probably not what you want, but I installed a pushbutton assy, in a floor console, between the bucket seats in my 66 Cuda. The trans is a 65 with a 64 full manual valve body. It gets a lot of comments.

The biggest problem with using anything other then a stock shifter setup, is the park cable. As VDART said you can use the 1965 Mopar cable floor shifter, and use a 65 valve body in the trans.
