1965 273 Plug Wire color????

Any one know for sure if the plug wires on a 1965 273 were black or orange?????? Thanks!

I think they were black, they are on my dads 66 Barracuda Formula S

Pretty hard to tell. The original photos are in black and white and the colored drawings are a bit crude. I'll keep searching. Good question. tmm

I just looked through my notebook and I found a Aug. 66' Hot Rod Magazine article with black and white photos. I looks to me like the wires were black with different colored ends. My guess would be black with orange boots.
The car that was pictured is a 66 Dart with California Emissions. (CAP) I'll see if I can scan or photograph the picture if you wish. tmm

Well I just found a press pic showing a 273 2bbl running on a test stand from I think late 64 and it looks like it has all orange wires. It is a black and white pic but they defiantly are not black. I have a feeling it could have been ether way.

Well here is the proof. A new old stock 65 dated set. I would not give the $199 they want for them, but then I am not trying to will best 65 Dart ether! LOL
