1965 Barracuda power fluctuations

Hey guys... When I start to accelerate my lights dim outside and inside my car. When I'm at a traffic light it runs fine... Any ideas?

Is your ground strap block to body bad or needs cleaned

Needed a new alternator

Check to make sure the belts are tight, and the alt mounting bolts are tight. Mine was just loose enough that at hihger rps the belts would slip.

That's exactly oposite of the normal complaint. I dont know where the problem is but I suspect in the end you will find nothing was fine. More like weak charging system at idle and even weaker under load. Tell us whats stock and whats not in your car. Electronic ignition installed ? square back altenator?, etc..
