1965 carburator quiz!

Enclosed is picture of an NOS Carter 3854S for 1965 273 4 bbl. The carb tag is red. The picture of an NOS Carter for 273 2 bbl shows same red tag.

Should all tags be red in 1965. I'm pretty sure that I have seen blue ones too. Any info in this matter?

I'm also wondering about the font style between the carbs. 3854S has bigger font style then the orginal one!

When did they change font style? What do you have guys?

Could be the difference between a carb shipped to Chrysler for installation on the assembly line and one destined to be a service part.

Yeah, you're right on that one. Could it be differences between automatic or manual transmission carbs?
