Last night I was going take out the dash cluster in my 65 Valiant (Canadian built car, has the 65 Dart cluster from the factory). I didn't think I was going to need to ask for help to do this..
Trouble is, when everything was loose and the cluster ready to come out I bumped into a problem with the light- and wiper switches. How do I take off the knobs? The rings that secure the switches to the bezel are of course unscrewed but the knobs are to large to go through the holes in the cluster. I would think they were screwed on and tried to turn them around, but I'm postive I'll twist the switches in two before the knobs come off..
Any help appreciated! (the picture is not of my dash, just used to illustrate)

If its like my barracuda the headlight switch has a button that you push it to release it. It is on the switch assembly so if you can feel around or look up under the dast you can see it. Mine was red and easy to see, after someone told me how to do it. The wiper knob had a set screw to release it. Just twist it like your turning on the wipers and you will see it on the side.
Hope this helps.

There is a pushbutton on the headlight switch. Hard to see without a flashlight. Squeeze it and the knob and shaft will pull straight out. The wiper knob has an allen head set screw holding it.

Thanks for the tips guys!
I'll check it out tomorrow. There's no way I can get either a flashlight or my head anywhere near the light switch where it's located on the Dodge dash (low down on the far left side, hidden by the lower dash, not high like on the Valiant dash), but I'm sure I'll find the release button by feeling my way around.

You guys were of course right. Allen screw on the wiper switch and after getting my hand almost stuck up there by the light switch I could feel the release button.
Thanks again!
