I was contacted last night by an older gent who has a factory silver metallic 1965 Formula S. The car is a two owner car! Has never been worked on. No rust, interior might be a little dry and the paint is a little faded. Factory Formula S hub caps is there as well as woodgrained steering wheel.

The works that needs to be done is change oil, belts, hoses, filter and redo the brakes. New tires of cause too.

He will send me pictures but I need to figure out a price range!

Question to me, what would be a fair price to pay?

Here in the states I could see that car selling for $3,500 to 6,500 depending on condition.

Don't forget about cleaning the fuel system and rebuilding the carb. if it's been setting for a long period of time. Also it's been my experience the freeze plugs tend to rust out and start leaking on original cars. The work tends to multiple and start adding up quick to get the cars back on the road.

They are nice cars however and the 65 is one of my favorite. Good luck!

I wish I had one, but I can't afford and have enough on my plate already. I'd think $7000 and up if it is a decent car. Maybe 11-12 if it was really nice, but they really aren't selling much, here.
