well this sucks. im putting my 65 valiant up for sale. i would prefer to sell to a mopar guy like myself.

i bought her on whim that has proven to over-extend my budget. Every dollar in gas, registration, maintainence, etc takes money away from my 69 barracuda formula s restoration.

i love driving her, but its time to let her go.

the car is in southern california. however, if you are far from me i can assist in shipping or maybe driving over to you.

plenty of pictures and further info at this link=

first $2500 will take her home.

thanks,
matt

he good:
-starts right up and drives nicely
-no engine nocks or smoking
-runs cool
-hardened valve seats
-good gas mileage (17-20 mix of town and highway)
-it stops as it should
-the gauges work
-the lights work
-horn works
-all the glass is PERFECT
-new headliner
-new tires
-new brakes
-new shocks
-new tune up(dist cap,rotor,plugs,wires,points,and condensor)
-clear title
-lots of reciepts and documentation
-original california "black plate" car
-damn near everything works
-anything you do to the car will add value
-it will only appreciate in value
-it is in overall good shape

the bad:
-a little exhaust leak
-no seatbelts up front
-it will need new door seals at some point
-the passenger side door trim panel is showing its age
-the driver door is missing its armrest
-small rust spots here and there
-the valve cover gasket leaks a little
-it has a wear mark on the floor where your heel rests by the gas pedal
-it is a 46 year old car that is unrestored
-some of the chrome is kind of pitted (still, it doesnt look bad)
-the heater core has been bypassed, so it is safe to say it needs a heater core.

this car drives as it was designed in 1962:
-manual steering
-manual drum brakes
-torsion bar suspension with no anti-sway bars
======== it does not drive like a new corvette Z06. however, some people find it very fun and enjoyable to drive.=============

maual brakes, manual sterring, seriously light weight body, a wide array of aftermarket parts in stock everywhere...

this car is a fantastic candidate for a race car. when i bought her i had every intention of installing a 408 with a 4 speed and a 8 3/4 rear end with . then i was going to move to the interior, creating a "formula s" style cockpit of bucket seats, center console, door panels, and all the brightwork and accessories that a barracuda has to offer. it is a damn shame i am selling her cause there is so much potential and desire to do it. just no cash flow! :(

she is a functioning daily driver condition car. so, not a show, but she still looks nice. i get all kinds of people wanting to talk to me about her wherever i go.

slant 6 with an automatic transmission and highway gears make for a nice little cruiser.
