This should be a no brainer but I recently purchased my mid life crisis car. a 1966 Dart 270 with a 273 engine. My first car was a 1966 with a slant 6. Its in great shape but the dash pad is in bad shape. How do I remove the &%#@ thing. I'm very handy so don't hesitate.

Be prepared to scrape your hands up cause the studs go straight back through the metal part and you have to reach up in there to get the nuts off.The more stuff you remove from the dash (instrument cluster,radio,heater box etc) the better.

3/8" socket on your 1/4" nut driver will save you a wee bit of skin but not much.

I checked, 5, 1 dead center, then about a foot or so apart outward.
