1966 Dodge Dart GT

  • 273 Charger Engine – rated at 235hp; 10.5:1 compression, 600 cfm Carter AFB four-barrel carburetor and a 0.425/0.425-inch-lift cam with 248 degrees duration.
  • 904 Transmission – 3 speed AT
  • 8 ¾ rear diff – sure grip (limited slip)
  • Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes & 10” drums on rear
  • Factory heavy-duty suspension includes upgraded front torsion bars & rear leaf spring count raised from four and a half to six
  • Factory AC car – all removed but available with car

I purchased car from original owner’s daughter – car spent entire life in Texas before I brought it to KS and set out to get car back on the road. Car now has an KS antique title.

Work we did includes the following:
  • New rear shocks
  • New radiator (US radiator – looks like original); we saved original radiator too
  • New gas tank & sending unit
  • New fuel pump
  • New water pump
  • New thermostat & housing, hoses, etc.
  • Rebuilt carburetor
  • New battery, cables, etc.
  • New heater core
  • New blower motor
  • New plugs, wires, etc
  • New interior carpet & floor mats
  • Had transmission rebuilt – all new seals & valve body
  • Rebuilt brakes
  • New tires/Cragar wheels (still have factory wheels too)
  • New bluetooth radio in trunk

Car runs and drives great – it is a blast to drive and lots of comments/thumbs up. Lingering things to fix include:
  • Speedometer / tach do not work
  • Temp gauge doesn’t work
  • Controls for heater/ac (knobs in dash) do not work
  • Missing chrome pieces on passenger side; some bondo present as well
Car does not drip anything on ground. Firm on price.
