Hi, here is an all original, unmolested '66 Barracuda that runs and drives (though probably not highway long distance worthy...yet
I was told by living relatives of the one and only owner, that she was quite the speedster before being parked.
The original owner died and gave it to my brother in-law that had no idea what to do with it, or what it was.. (poor guy)
He was going to sell it to someone that was going to hack it up, until I heard about it.
I saved it from a field on his property and seized the opportunity to save a survivor and revisit my youthful days spent
under old cars and trucks. It has been awesome and I'd love to restore her myself. But I am more of a 68-72 guy, and
my full restoration skills are non-existent. I have only re-built 15 yarders. She deserves better..
So I would much rather see it go to someone that has those skills and passion for this model.
She is 100% original sans items listed below. I kept all the original parts to go with the car.
New gas cap and filler tube, gas tank, gas lines, fuel pump. Carburetor works great but surely needs rebuilt.
New master cylinder, wheel cylinders. Shoes and drums are in good shape. Brake fluid completely replaced. Lines seemed fine, so I left them.
New water pump, starter, battery, voltage regulator, alternator, thermostat.
All new fluids, except for transmission and rear end. I have no excuse for that.
I have the blinker light for the drivers side front fender, but it is damaged beyond repair in terms of blinking.
The only thing missing is the antenna. Even has original jack, dealers certificate, owners manual, bill of sale.
Pictures show all body damage. Doors and windows work, the rear windows were stiff so I left them alone.
I replaced the trunk hinges, but did not spend much time getting the alignment correct. It was before.
The only body corrosion I could find was behind the passenger rear wheel well and the trunk floor under the spare tire.
I had to pull the rear area to replace the filler tube which exposed the passenger side rear floor and I see there are holes in the floor, but
it seams sturdy, supported my weight getting in and out.
I am not sure about the other 3 floors, but assume they will need some work.
Most gauges work. Head lights work. Brake lights and blinkers... I think only 1 works. Probably bulbs. I have not spent much time on these.
The back seat is in great shape since it was folded down all those years. Only found 1 dead mouse that only stole some foam padding, no other damage.
The engine is strong, been sitting over 15 years. Started right up once gas got to the cylinders. Now she fires at the first turn of the key.
About every 3rd or 4th time I start her, she smokes til she gets warm and I rev the engine. So I assume sticky lifter. I added ATF. We'll see if she free's up.
She's likely burning some oil, but it is rarely visible. Could stop once the ATF cuts the gunk. She has only run ~30 minutes since adding it.
I replaced one freeze plug. There is another one with a very minor drip but would need to pull the passenger side exhaust manifold to get to it.
At least there is a lot of room to work on that side of the motor.
No oil leaks.
I seem to have a bit of antifreeze oozing from the thermostat cap bolts, and a hose connection to the water pump.
I should have greased the threads, but have not gotten back to them yet.
I cleaned her up, many hours on the glass with a buffer and compound. Now I get compliments how how clear they are (you couldn't see through them before).
Steering is tight, manual brakes work fine (one horizontal brace missing in front brake hub) she is smooth except the shocks are worn out.
Tires hold air, but they are old, still have good tread. I have matching hub caps on order.
Now the new owner gets to drive her around town until their ready to dig in and is fully aware of what they're buying.... I hope. I think I have disclosed everything.
I hope the right person will get her and bring back to her original glory!
Let me know if have any other questions, or need other info.

Looks like I can only add 10 pics here. I will add a link to my Garage to all of them or
maybe you can find them in my garage. I need to learn my way around this site.
