Long story short, I've had this car since I was 16 (55 now), it had some rust and some dents, and I finally got the $$ together to have the bodywork and paint redone.

I'm kinda looking for all the exterior trim except the aluminum that went down the sides of the doors. I had those holes welded up and deleted that trim.

But I'm missing one half of the trunk trim, the front and rear badges are in bad shape, the headlight trim is in horrrible shape, etc.

I'm having a hell of a time finding this stuff, maybe I'm using the wrong search terms, or maybe it is just really hard to find. Figure a few people here probably know something.

Thanks!

1966 is a one year deal. makes those parts a little more difficult to find. my 66 didnt have much trim and I removed most of what was there.

I may have some of that trim. If I have time today, I'll what I have left. I stripped the trim off two '66 Valiant Signet convertibles over the years.....sold some.

Been there done that. Looked for 2 of the side trim moulding for 2 years... the week I was going to weld the holes shut and angel in Tennessee found the two pieces I was missing. One year and One Model (Signet) for much of it. Rear glass is not reproduced. Talked to Steele about a seal and if we would foot the $60k tooling they would make it. Laysons has raw weatherstrips that you cut and glue. Not for the faint of heart but at least there is something. Good luck, very hard car to find trim pieces for.

Let me look at my 66 stash and see if I have doubles of anything, and let me tag a good friend that has a collection of 66 parts @66340SEDAN

Can you post a diagram or pic of your car and mark what you’re looking for? I have two sets of 66 trim and I don’t think it’ll make it on my car.

Wheel well moldings? I could be convinced to pay top dollar....

Things that are rough enough that I do not want to re-use:

Headlight trim
The trim behind the rear windows
Both front and truck emblems are severly faded
Bottom trunk trim seems to be MIA (the piece that goes under the plymouth trim)
Rear taillight chrome pieces, but I can have them dipped.

Headlight trim....I assume you mean the aluminum bezels? Yeah, they're fairly hard to find in nice shape.
Faded emblems? You just mean the paint? get some model enamel for that. If you need nice chrome, good luck. I have a grille emblem that is better than average, but, it does have a little pitting on the edges and will need to be repainted.
I have the "Plymouth" trim for the lid. I don't think I have the lower one for the body, but, I'll check again.
Same goes for the taillight housings, Originals with nice chrome are hard to find. If yours are chromeable, do that. I have some with pits. Repops were available through Layson's the last time I checked. No back glass chrome as mine were convertibles.
