Hi, was wondering if anybody could tell me if AMD makes a replacement fender for a 1967 Dodge dart? I was under the impression that they did. I can only find 1968 and 69 fenders right now.

Anyone? I figured somebody would know. It seems ridiculous to me to have 68 fenders, but not 67. You start with the 67 to make a 68. Seems easier to drill a hole for the 68, then to weld up a hole for a 67. Does anybody know what happened to the 67 fenders? I know I have see them in the past.

Aside from the no marker light hole in '67 compared to the '68s and '69s is there any other difference? I'll admit I'm not familiar with the '67 to '69 differences compared to the '70 to '76 differences. When I restored my '75 8 years ago, no one made '73 and up quarters so I got the '70-'72 quarters which had different marker light holes and the body shop patched in my '75 marker light holes into the new quarters. You might need the body shop just patch in a piece of metal to fill the holes on each fender. The number of '68 and '69 restorations far outnumber the '67 restorations so the metal press isn't going to make two runs for such small numbers.

I understood that the amd panels were made without the marker light holes cut in them. The consumer would have to cut the round holes for a 68 and the square holes for 69. So the amd panels would also work on the 67. That is the only difference in the panels.

But then you get into the headlight buckets that are different, but the mounting brackets could be used off of your old fenders.

Are you still going to keep it a 1967.. I thought you were thinking about changing it to a 1968...?

I really thought for sure they had to make 1967 fenders if they make 1968 and 1969

I have looked for the AMD 67 fender and have only seen 68 and up. If I had to buy new I would get the 68 fender since it has the small round hole. That would be easiest to weld in a patch and clean up.

Cole, I am planning on keeping it a 67. Would've liked to have made it 68, but I might as well look for a real 68 if I were to do that. There are more things to change then I thought of to make it correct.
As for the fenders. 67 and 68 are virtually identical other than the Marker hole. 69's have a completely different headlight bucket and Marker hole. The 69's also have the brace being part of the fender. AMD starts with the 67 fender, in punches a hole for the marker in the 68. I just figured it would be easier for the consumer to drill out the holes for the 68, rather than weld up the hole to make it to 67. I really thought I saw 67 fenders available. Maybe it was just the quarter panels that I am thinking of. Still looking for a nice set of original 67 fenders if anybody has a set that they would like to sell.
