I purchased a 1967 Barracuda last year which previously had a 440 and 727 transmission installed. I contacted the owner that had engine and trans mission swap carried out for some information regarding the Hurst automatic console shifter. It works but it is difficult to use and find the gears. The previous owner said that they had to use the Hurst shifter since the engine and transmission were longer and the original console shift would not work. As a result of the engine/transmission swap they also had to install a shortened drive shaft.
I would like to replace the Hurst shifter with the original stock version. I have the shifter but no linkage. Would the linkage from a 383 Barracuda work in this case?

The stock shifter is the same with any console shift A-Body, the tricky part is the kickdown linkage. A&A transmission in Camby, Indiana makes a reproduction of the big block A-Body kickdown linkage, or use a Lokar but I hate those...

Also you must have the correct transmission tail housing. The lower bracket for the vertical shifter shaft goes down from the console area, and through a bushing in a bracket which bolts to holes that exist in the correct rear housing.

The two holes at the bottom of the casting is what you are looking for. Go to MyMopar.com and download the service manual. It has a diagram of the linkage

I have a 440/727 combo in my scamp and I converted from column shift to stock floor shifter/console with no problems, for me the hardest thing was getting the proper dimensions for where to install the console mounts

Does the non console floor pan have a bulge off the side of the hump as does the auto floor shift for console? My 67 Dart was console, floor shift auto, so I would not know.
