Looking to clean the rust off the bucket seat frames and paint them. What's the best option for closest to original color and texture? Thanks in advance!

FSM says black 80% gloss.iirc

Check in the body section (23?) there is a list of paint colors for particular parts.

Dupli-color, krylon? Someone must have bought paint and had a good outcome. Hopefully.

They were gloss, very shiny, no texture.

Semi gloss is wrong.

You asked, that's the scoop.

What if he doesn't shoot the paint right and it comes out semi gloss?

I'm poking fun. There's alot of difference in the sheen of old paint gloss vs new paint gloss. Plus the manner in which it is shot, you can make the same paint look very different in the way it is applied. Wet, dry or in-between.

Keep in mind the only visable part might be the inside and outside seat back pivot
