1967 Dart and 1968 Barracuda

Picked up these to build for local track racing. Barracuda has a built 318 for now and the dart is a six waiting to be removed. I am still researching the dart. The title says 1967 but it has 1968 marker lights. I am the second owner and have a copy of the original title. The car was purchased in the beginning of 1969 so I'm wondering if it was a special order car that didn't get built until 1968 because it has a huge a/c unit in it. I'm not sure if the build sheet would have any better information. Either way I'm sure it will be up for debate.

Welcome sweet A bodies. I think someone just installed the 68 side markers on the 67.

I'd say aftermarket A/C.
with a little digging, you can find out more.
For the one in my '67 I found some period advertising.

This is pretty cool. Frigette Strato V - under dash system that was on my '67 Barracuda. Probably installed before 1970. Everco Compressor Even though the clutch has a double pulley, only one belt was used. A g**gle search turned up a 1968 newspaper advertisement. Miami News Record...

For the actual model year, see where the VIN plate is located. Then check the VIN, and check the data plate and data card if it still has one
A lot of small but noticible changes 67 to 68. Windshield trim, and idler arm to name two in addition to the marker lights.
