Of course after to get welding gas you run out of wire. Oh well need to take the F100 to get and exhaust tomorrow anyway so will get some then. Even Az metal can need a little love after 60 years in the elements. And the removal of the towing hitch!

This place is starting to look like Kueneman Kustoms.

Rails cleaned nice it looks like

The donor trunk section is now rust free with a few patches. The S just needs the inner fender patch in the drivers side and then use the jig to cut the rails in the patch and it’s time to weld it in! Robert McCartney showed me the magic of donut dolly’s in shrinking metal. Don’t need anything fancy.

Working on a '67 F-100 with a bare-bones 240 I-6 project. So far, fixed some wiring issues (more lingering), added power brakes, and currently working on power steering (DEFINITELY not a simple conversion!!!). Looking at converting the 3-on-the-tree to an AOD and 4.9 EFI for reasonable street power. Plan B is adding a turbo the the 240. (Crap! I don't have any pictures of the dang truck to show for likes!! I'll have to take some for future posts.)

Maybe you have already planned this BUT...

I would suggest you make some plates that fit inside the frame tubes at each joint (at least the 2 sides and the bottom) and plug weld them to the frame tubes from the outside for added reinforcement
