1968 Barracuda Trunk Trim Restored by PartsMonsta

Goes without saying. The question is who is paying for the repairs?

I think the person/business that prepped the parts for shipping is directly responsible and should make this right.

No way were those parts making it back to the customer unscathed ,packaged the way they were.

That's nice, but doesn't help the op with his dilemma and he isn't going to attempt the repairs himself..
Agreed but just pointing out that if he wanted to, it could be done by the op himself.

I do get your point though.

That could be repaired. IF the rest of the work looks okay, it would be cheaper for you to find a competent trim guy and use these pieces rather than start over again. Like you said in the video, I wouldn't give this guy another opportunity, as he won't even take responsibility for his poor packaging.

I didn't mention any names in the video however several people here wanted me to tag him. If he is the same person as Steve Clair Young on Facebook well here you go.

69Chrgr, I was wanting to send you a message, but your inbox is full. I had a question about your 68 trunk trim resto.

How can a guy that does such nice, meticulous work on the trim be so completely incompetent when it comes to packing it back up and shipping it. I learned long ago to make my shipments bomb proof, I mean, you’ve seen this horror story play out hundreds of times, shippers are assholes, they try to ruin every package they touch. Do better @partsmonsta you're your own worst enemy

Why are people so lazy when it comes to packaging.
I just want to give a mention to Ratrod Al, I bought a trunk trim for my 69 Barracuda from him. The thing is this was an unrestored trim needing work, never the less, he took the time and care to pack it against a 1/2 piece of ply that covered the whole trim, he cut 2 chocking pieces to keep the angle from being crushed and he charged way way less than that guy and sent it across the pond to me in the UK, absolutely top notch service it was with me in less than a week.

he probly shipped then about the same way you sent them.
I put my extra rear trim peices in a 4 abs pipe to ship it/them ..., he`d send them back the same way .
He did my 68 grills , and they were/are fantastic ...

I agree...@Ratrodal brought a split bench seat right to my door step. I also bought a flywheel from him and it was shipped quickly packed well. Everyone I have referred to him as a result of his excellent service has been grateful for the reference. Proper packaging materials can be difficult to get but working at a place with a lot of cardboard and paper waste is a big help. A professional vendor should not inadequately pack a package even if the person who sent items to them did. Post refurbished packaging should protect the refinished item. Obviously, the original sender should bear the same courtesy when sending the original package.
