Do the last six numbers on the bottom line of a 1968 barracuda fender tag match the last 6 numbers on the dash VIN tag? The fender tag decoder I am using calls this number the "sequential build number". I know the 1969 model tags have identical numbers in both places from the factory, but is the 1968 "sequential build number" the VIN on 1968 cars??

I have a 68 Barracuda and they are not the same.
No the fender tag numbers match the radiator support numbers, and trunk sill lip on drivers side under Weather stripping.
No, they are not the same. The "sequential build number" is shown on the broadcast sheet, and stamped into the radiator support, but it is not the same as the VIN sequential digits.
