haven’t figure out which lower radiator hose to use on this swap. Upper was cake.

Using 70 style water pump and the original radiator outlet neck is at a funky angle. Would prefer to avoid having a new straight outlet soldered on.

Here goes nothing. Headed down to part store with this turd I made up from TIG wire. Blue tape to represent form better.

Ah Don't we all miss the good ole days when when we could walk into almost any parts store and see what could work. :(
Which is what I got to do.
This is was a '67 slant six with whatever replacement radiator someone had put in.
This is early the notebook so I *think* this may be similar assuming the radiator in the car had similar inlet and outlet to the original.
Top Hose: Dayco 81181 / M08 1 1/2" ID, 19 7/8" Length.
Bottom hose: Dayco Flex? hose 81251 / M33 1 3/4" ID to 1 1/2" ID, 16 1/2" Length.
may need to shorten pump end by 1/2" and the radiator end by 3/8"

I hate corrigated hoses too, so if that was a flex hose probably replaced that when I found something better. I'll see if I can find that info.

edit: no luck.

Damn I’m either good, damn lucky or my blue turd worked like a charm. Just need to wait for my 1-3/4 to 1-1/2 Gates reducer.

Dayco 71991. Cut to fit radiator side. Then order the Gates 1-3/4 to 1-1/2 hose reducer. $8

Part numbers for reference

Upper Hose: Gates 21794
Lower Hose: Dayco 71991 or Gates 22122
1-3/4 x 1-1/2 Hose Reducer: Gates 26391
