Speedo went out on my Dart. I've been just going off the tach for a while now. I've also been wanting to replace the ammeter with a voltmeter, add an oil pressure gauge, and get rid of my column mounted (and barely readable) mini-tach. Unfortunately, the stock dash doesn't lead itself to standard round gauges, and I couldn't justify 1500 for the autometer setup.

So here's what I came up with. Intellitronix 6 gauge universal cluster. Made an adapter plate out of plywood. The digital gauge is taller than the cluster opening , so it has to be centered just right to not cover up any of the display. The built in turn/high beam indicators were kinda obstructed, so I added some LED indicator lights on the edge of the adapter plate.

The kit comes with a coolant sensor and oil pressure sensor. Also has a speed sensor that screws into the trans in place of the speedo cable. The only wiring issues were finding a switched power source and tapping into the park light circuit for a dimming signal. You can't attach to the orange lighting wire.

I repainted the bezel and had the plastic lens tinted. The tint guy said that tinting plastic can issues with off gassing causing bubbles. But I guess we'll see.

Still need to finish up odds and ends before a test drive.

While I would prefer some stock looking analog gaugea, i feel like this adds a lot of function to drving, and looks pretty stock when parked.

I'm a stock kind of guy but it looks ok in my book.

I haven't seen for our darts but lcd screens that look like OEM gauges, basically a photo of the stock cluster with motion for the gauges.

Dakota Digital converted my 66 Barracuda cluster to digital with built in turn signals and high beam indicator. The cluster is not ready to install in my 65 Dart wagon so I can’t show it in action

Nice, I've considered something similar for my '66 as the stock dash doesn't lend itself well to round gauges. You did a very clean installation there!
