So today I went to roll down the window on the Dart and the little black knob just fell off in my hand. Any tips on repairing g the knob? There's a chrome disc in the center, but it looks like it doesn't come off to put a new rivet or screw or whatever they used. I know.they sell brand new chinesium ones online for $10 bucks plus shipping. Just figured I'd try and repair it if at all possible first

You can carefully pry out the metal center, push the rivet back into place with it's knob, put a large punch or bar stock into a vice to use as an anvil, put the head of the rivet against it, smack the other end of the rivet with a center punch to spread the rivet metal back out over the hole in the handle, then re-install the metal center disc. Done hundreds of them.

Thanks for the tips. I'll see if I can repair it. I was able to find one in nice shape at the junkyard for $3 so I got that installed already. What size rivets did they use inside the knob originally? I have 3 or 4 rivet guns and a box of rivets, but my guess is these are smaller than what I have

Thanks,I appreciate the offer. With what shipping costs these days,it would likely cost the same to ship the handle as it would to buy one of the $9.99 free shipping ones new off ebay. I was able to find a wrecked 1968 in a local junkyard and take the handle off it. It had one left on the rear door so it's nice and tight.

I have a bunch of used cranks some are decent. I can send some spares in a flat rate box. You pay the $10.00 shipping
