When I returned from Vietnam, I purchased a 1968 GTS convertible 340 Torqueflite. Had it until the 1980s
Great car. Spent some time at HWY 258 dragstrip in North Carolina. Blue with white top

Did you check the GTS registry?

I did a quick look but did not see it.

I checked a few years ago. Also, it seems the convertible tops leak and the floor pan falls out of the vehicle and I guess at the time, the value was not seen as we do.
Thanks for the info!

In 67, 68 and 69 there were just under 4000 converts made each year.

Figure 1/2 of those are still on the road.

I have 2, my buddy has 2, 2 other buddies have one each. I know of 3 others. that's just here in Northern Colorado.

That also leaves almost none for parts cars

Mine is blue with a white top, but I believe it spent it's whole life with one family in New Jersey until I bought it.

Curiously, I came across one for sale this morning on a barn finds kind of website. Unfortunately I don't recall the name of it, but I will try to find it again and post a link.

Thanks for the Pic! That looks just like the one I bought the same color with a white top and with the same white strip!!! I had the dog dish caps on the wheels.
That GTS project looks interesting!
