stock rebuild what piston is the best choice as far as putting compression at a stock level with x heads
 
Speed Pro L2316F. Stock replacement, but forged.
 
This is what I used. No piston rings included.
It’s a hyper-U slug. It has a .060 dome on it. So, if you zero deck the lower area, which means you’ll have the dome sticking up above the blocks deck, you’ll have to pay attention to the dome area and it’s clearance to the cylinder head and gasket thickness used.

Normally speaking, the pistons dome as the factory states is above deck .017, IIRC. No matter where the dome sits, the head gasket used should adjust the clearances.
