I have a 1969 Valiant and I'm putting in a factory console and a factory automatic on the floor. I need the piece of linkage thats under the car that runs from the ( torque shaft to the transmission control lever and it is called the lower rod ) I'm using a 904 and I'm not sure if that makes a difference. Also I was told that red fish has a diagram of where the console brackets get welded to the floor. Also I'm putting the plates under the bucket seats, I believe they go over the holes closest to the tranny tunnel, Is there a specific way to weld them in so they are correct.....Thank You Webby.

The reinforcing plates are welded to the floor on the outside of the
plate. There may be some spot welds as well. You can make your own plates, they're just flat steel, around 1/8" thick. Maybe somebody can
send you some pictures for size reference.
