Was looking for the same item approximately a year or two ago. Called up to national moparts and none available. IIRC was told all sold out as the same mechanism is used on a challenger ?? Definitely remember some year and model of E body? Maybe just didn't want to be bothered.

I have a 70 challenger, I will go look and see if they are the same

Why wouldn't a 67 or 68 dart mech. work.

Did more digging. It's a one year only part.

I saw that part on eBay also. I need the latch itself too. I have a 68 new latch on it and it’s almost impossible to open the hood because the release mechanism gets buried up there. Must have a different hood and grill opening on a 68
