Looking for a 1969 Notchback parts car or several body and trim parts from one. Located in San Jose, CA. Must have a good drivers side rear quarter section.

Ahh bummer, didn't know that. Well hopefully somebody on here can help out:)

AMD will likely NEVER make a notch or convert full quarter panel. They state that you can "modify" the fastback for notch or convert???????

Marc,

This one is in your wheelhouse, it has been for sale for some time...it is green, just not sure if is the right green. Just needs some patching on the rears. SLO is fairly close. I'll be you can recoup some cost by selling trim and other parts.

Straight shot up 101 about 3hrs. Might be worth an email.

Good luck!

I have talked to him and it sounds like it was in a worse accident than mine in the rear. He says both quarters need to be completely replaced due to a crash.

Andy said he already cut the car in half and sold the front part. I also need inner fenders and a few front end parts as well.

Well, I think that car in Tenn would be a solid candidate. You could sell some of the stuff you don't need to recoup shipping costs. Not sure if it runs and drives, but I bet it would have most of what you need for your project...and could help some other members out with theirs.

Yeah, just wish it was closer. I've been burned with shipping cars that turned out to be rust buckets when they got to me so don't really want to chance it.

I am sure there is a trusted member than can evaluate the condition of that car that lives close. It is a slant six out of the barn with 83k on the clock. Running or not, if you can snag it for $2500 cash plus shipping for that car, you would still do wonders over waiting for something closer. Hell, those grilles can get $400. Bumpers maybe $100. Trunk finish panel a couple hundred. Rear window trim the same. Wheel moldings another $300 or $400 in good shape. Base hubcaps $100. Emblems $50.Date coded glass...interior items, seats, bezel, radio... If you are waiting for a black CA plate roller 69 notch to come around you will likely be waiting quite a while. If to are in no hurry I guess that is fine. Your 440 will take some investment and some risk as well to get completed correctly.

Even if that car in Nashville needed patching it is a far cry from what those correct manifolds, linkage and misc parts and the trunk VIN are going to tax you. You seem willing to take a gamble since the M code is crunched and you managed to pony the cash for that.
