Hi all,

I purchased an OER speedometer cable for my 1969 Plymouth Valiant that I bought a few months ago. There wasn't a speedometer cable when I bought it and the one I bought online has a plastic clip that is suppose to clip on the speedometer behind the gauge in the car. However the gauge does not have a clip on but instead is threaded..... Is this accurate for my car or did I just get the wrong cable? Most speedometer cables online for my car show the plastic clip on connector but I'm positive mine is threaded. Not sure if this part exists or what so came here for help.

Thank you all.

You probably have a '67 speedometer/gauge cluster installed in your '69. '67 was the last year for threaded speedometers.
Your choices are to get a '67 speedo cable or install '68 or '69 gauges.
