running working engine for sale
#1 rod bearing starting to go out
new HV oil pump
new timing set tru roller cloyes
unsure of cam but may be stock
hyd lifters
compression checked all cylinders 120-150
new top end gaskets
I have new valve seals included
crank is a 2532457 forged and has not been turned
mains have 3/16/70 stamped
block is a 2780930 1970
bores looked untouched when heads were pulled
heads are 3418915 340/360 j heads with 2.02/1.60 valves
new pan gasket
I am posting this as a feeler. I do have pictures but not going to waste anyones time posting them unless I get interest. I am really broke and cant afford to rebuild it now if it needs it. Drove the duster around the block twice and oil pressure was fine. My funds are at an end. I am looking for $2000 obo to fund a reman motor. The 340s are worth enough that I can afford a magnum motor or something from a business that sells them with warranties. I could also include the aluminum edelbrock intake, rebuilt holley 750, new flexplate, new vac dist and new torque converter for a 904 if needed. I was thinking of getting a reman bottom end and swapping the top over if I sell this engine. Please don't delete this due to no pics. The engine is located in eastern NC.
Unless someone has a spare gasket kit with bearings and rings they would like to give me.
