I have a 1970 340 Swinger. Car is restored with slight cam , headers and a few performance enhancements. Car has 3.91 gear and 14 inch tires. Trans is 727. I plan on replacing the torque converter. Car will be used primarily on street with occasional performance use. What manufacturer produces the best torque converter for a street car? I don't was something too loose and annoying. What have you got in yours?

What's your cam specs?
I apologize. I cannot remember the specs. It's a Lunati 20200711 Hyd roller. Lift is .515 and .530. I think .050 is 219 and 229. It's pretty mild. Lots of vacuum. Factory stall is 1550 before it turns the tires. Id like 2250-2500 then it be tight.

I have a 10" 2500 stall converter in mine (custom manufactured by a local converter builder that has done tons of them for '60s and '70s street/strip engines).

My engine is a 360 Magnum 9:1 compression with a cam that has .512 in. /.512 in. lift, duration 264°/274° (210°/220° @ 0.050).

The 2500 stall is perfect for it.

B&M makes a similar converter.
