So the previous owner decided to do this

I wanted to get a RetroSound, but I am not sure if this originally came with knobs or thumb rollers since the original plate is missing.

How do know what plate to look for? Were they both the same size and thus universal??

1970 Dart Standard/sweeping Dash

Thanks!!

I have been doing some reading and from what little I can gather, only rallye dashboards got the thumb rollers in 1970.

The plates are kind of spendy, but I think buying a knob plate would be the safer way to go.

Thanks for the reply!

The stock radio is supported by the sheet metal of the dash frame. If you tried to stick a stock radio in that hole, you would have no way to mount it

Gotcha. For some reason I thought the mounting brackets would extend beyond the hole to mount.

Thanks!
