I partnered with a good friend of mine and just got done putting most of the finishing touches on this excellent, very solid, straight 70 Plymouth Valiant. No lower front fender issues, no trunk issues and no lower rear quarter issues. The odometer shows the original 63,500 miles that car has. It’s an original /6 car but now has a fairly fresh 1972 318 engine in place using the Shumacher motor mount kit. Edelbrock intake and 650 AVS polished, electric choke Thunder Series carb, MP black wrinkle cast aluminum valve covers and MP electronic ignition conversion kit with a new engine wiring harness kit installed. It’s backed up with a TCI trans and their Saturday Night Special 2200 rpm converter, 8 ¾ rear with an Auburn sure grip and 3.73 gears. The exhaust is handled by TTI ceramic-coated headers and a complete TTI exhaust system with an X-pipe and magnaflow mufflers. The car sits on polished Halibrand style 15x8 wheels in the back and 15x4 wheels in the front. The tires are 165R-15 fronts and Futura 255-60R-15 tires in the rear. The wheels are all SBP. The car has manual brakes, P/S and A/C, Kelsey Hayes disc brakes up front and stock drums in the back. The car has fresh “ladder” stripe treatment to the hood and cowl and then installed a pair of new aftermarket hood scoops to the hood. In addition, we installed the 71 Duster side stripe kit with the tail panel blackout kit. The car originally was a black vinyl top car but cracking in spots and was very dried out. We then took the original vinyl off, prepped, sealed and primered the top then installed a new Legendary vinyl top kit. The front seat back is perfect but there is a small seam separation in the driver side bottom area. Legendary doesn’t have the lower cover at this time so we didn’t address this yet. The rear seat looked to be near perfect so we left it alone. New carpet is also in place with the door panels excellent. A new trunk floor mat and new wood spare tire cover are included as are all the jack parts in the trunk.

This car is not a 20 footer, or a 10 footer or even a 5 footer. You can stand right next to it and see how nice the paint is and how straight and solid the body is. It’s a great daily driver and cruiser. We also have receipts for most of the parts on the car.

We would like to get $17,000 and can deliver within a reasonable distance for a small fee to cover some of our time, gas and tolls.

The car will be at Carlisle on Friday and Saturday in the Pavilion.
