1971 340 long block. Was in a 72 model year car, per the VIN. 2B127805. Standard bore cross hatching still present with no ring lip.

Standard stroke

Forged crank (drilled for a 4-speed)

Torker intake

Milidon oil pump and pickup

Windage tray.

Purchase includes new standard Clevite bearings, standards rings, and complete gasket set. Brand new custom built electronic distributor, and Mallory plug wires. Was going to freshen up, and buy a roller to put it in, but life throws curve balls. So plans have changed.

Also have original 273 adjustable rockers, shafts and hold downs, as well as push rods, available for extra.

Was a running engine before pulled.

There will be a $100 charge for crating engine to be shipped. Prefer local pickup so you can inspect. ALL FASTENERS ON ENGINE ARE LOOSE, TO ALLOW FOR EASY INSPECTION. NOTHING HAS BEEN TORQUED DOWN WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE ROTATING ASSEMBLY. I will assist with shipping by taking to freight center of your choice. Id highly recommend shipping through Nate Moore at www.freightcenter.com. I’m located 80 miles west of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, just over the Ohio/West Virginia state line. My zip code is 43950. Again, local pickup is preferred, so you can inspect for yourself, and know exactly what you’re buying.

I prefer emails or text messages, since I’m not always on the computer or on this forum

Someone must have replaced the piston 71 only has 2 eye brow pistons not 4 those were 72 and up to lower the compression

Thanks RRR.

That would have to be a FAST turnaround to be a 71 model year engine. It's likely a 72 model year based on the mid june casting date.

The VIN pad appears to have something stamped in it. Could you get those numbers? Thanks

It was originally out of a 72 model year car, according to the vin. Still a forged crank, and X heads. Engine was very strong. Was pulled out of a running street rod, and replaced with a Hemi.

It does have the vin from the block, in the post. Very first line. As stated in the ad, I’m not on here very much. Any interested people can either find me on Facebook by search for “1971 340 long block”, or message me for my number. Will gladly answer any and all questions I can.
