Has anyone installed a new windshield seal and applied anything type of silicone sealant to the gasket to help it keep water from leaking onto the floor. If so what places do your apply the sealant.

Yes, to do a leak free install, you will need to use non hardening butyl type product. Never use silicone or urethane to do this. A small bead of 3M 08509 Glazing and bedding compound betweent the rubber and the body, then a small bead inside the channel where the glass meets the rubber. Clean up is simple with prep solvent.
GMachine hit the nail on the head.Butyl rubber sealer. I used silicone, black, the best you can buy and the front and rear glass started to leak about 2 months later. Had to do it over. Don't know why it won't, but it don't..
