1971 Dodge Demon For Sale or Mopar Trade $8500!

For sale is a 1971 Dodge Demon Dragcar 10 second 1/4 mile 440 pump gas racecar.

The car is really consistent, I have time slips to prove it. Anyways here is some info on the Demon.

71 Dodge Demon Drag car . 10.56 Best 1/4, consistent mid 70's
1.50's 60' times
1/8 mile times are 6.80's

Strong .30 over 67 Steel Crank Pump Gas 440
8 point cage
Iron heads
Line lock
Fresh Racing 727
489 8 & 3/4 410 Spool Moser Axles
10.5-1 Ross Pistons
>525 Comp Cam with 1.6 Rockers
2 inch Super Comp Ceramic Headers
New Q-A1 Adjustable Shocks on all 4 corners
SFI Balancer and Flexplate,
Tranny Blanket
4500 Stall converter (Dynamic)
Auto Meter gauges, VDO memory tach w/ shift light
8 gal. fuel cell
MSD 6al-2, Two step with Rev Limiter
2 Optima Yellow Tops
Tilt Front end
Frame connectors
Driveshaft Safety loop

Bought new 5 point harness last spring, so the belts are good for another season.
Motor was freshened and gone through in the winter of 2009. And the car was run very limited in the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

This car is very solid, trunk extensions, floor boards, frame rails, all in great shape!

You should haul this to the Mopar show in Farmington this weekend, would your new truck pull it?

That was my plan A, but I would kind of like to sell the silver truck first. I do have another truck for pulling. It's a 92 3/4 ton, rust free!

I can't believe you still have this car! I still have the Duster you like. I've put a whopping 22 miles on it in 2012!

I'm seriously contemplating a possible trade with you. The thing holding me back before was that I'd never use the Demon. Turns out I never drive the Duster, so what's the difference if a Demon sits in my garage or a Duster?

I would do some trading on my 70 duster in my Avitar. It ran high 12's last year, but have since put W-2 heads on it and havent had a chance to get it back to the track after tuning it. It is a street car, no cage, pretty solid no rust anywhere underneith. 360, 727 3500 stall 8-3/4 with 4.56 gear. Comes with 2 sets of wheels and tires Convo pros and a set of ralley wheels.
