1971 Power Steering box?

In my 71 Demon I installed complete 73 duster front suspension with V8 K-Frame and manual Steering.

Going to install power steering know.

My question is they list two different parts for 1971 and 1973 for Steering box.
I have access to 1971 steering box will it work on 1973 setup?

output shaft is a different size so pitman arm for a 73 won't work with a 71 box.

Bring your pitman arm with you to see if it slides on. If it does,then you have the right part or you might have to use a 73-up box

The spline size in the box couplings are different too but I can never remember which is what difference. Good luck

I used my factory 67 column with coupler on a 73-up steering box so that spline didn't change. I also installed a 73-up manual pitman arm on 67 manual box,no issues there either. The 68 and up PS box does use a larger sector than 67 and earlier ( which is smaller). This has been my experience so far
